We are not at war with Islam!

1:20 in.....WE ARE NOT AT WAR WITH ISLAM! Tell that to the bigots in America, Mr. President...

So because a handful of terrorists calling themselves Al Qaeda murdered almost 3,000 people in NYC on 9/11/01, there are some here in America who have waged war on all of Islam, and with our American Muslim citizens. Does this seem to have festered and grown since the election of Barack Obama? Oh yes, sadly it has.

Before '08 would the country have been in an uproar over a community center in NYC with a prayer room for Muslims? No, I doubt it, because G W Bush told us Islam was a peaceful religion and we had nothing to fear from our Muslim citizens. It's just since the election of Barack Obama.....

Before '08 would a fanatic church leader call for burning Korans on the anniversary of 9/11? Not to my knowledge has that happened until this year, is it because these fanatics hate our president, to them he represents a radical, a Muslim radical. Sad, but true.

American Muslims are fighting side by side in Afghanistan with the fanatics sons, brothers, dads, uncles....but they don't care, they don't even see that far, all they see is their hate for ALL Muslims. They talk about the radical side of Islam like its the ONLY side of Islam.

Listen to the passionate plea of our president in the video clip. America is not at war with Islam. Why did the fanatics believe Bush but they won't believe Obama?

How many Muslims are there around the world? The Pew Forum estimates 1.57 billion as a reliable number, as of mid 2010. Muslims represent 22% of the worlds population and are the second largest religion in the world. Only Christianity is larger with 33% of the worlds inhabitants. It's time for Christians to start acting like Christians, not like holier-than-thou bigots.

Domestic terrorism

This American terrorist wanna-be is just 26 yrs old! This is the kind of terrorism we have to be vigilant about in our country today. So while our troops are overseas we have in our own country Americans who want to murder Americans, all in the name of God...They brag about it on Facebook, how stupid are these people...thank God they are so stupid and thank God for the FBI!

From Think Progress.....
This past Tuesday the FBI arrested 26-year old Christian radical Justin Carl Moose in Concord, NC for “providing information to create explosives” to “blow up a North Carolina abortion clinic.” Through his conversations with an FBI informant and his Facebook page, Moose expressed virulent “anger at abortion doctors, President Barack Obama’s health care plan, and plans to build a mosque near ground zero in New York city.”

He goes on to describe himself as “the Christian counterpart to Osama bin Laden” who “has learned a lot from the Muslim terrorists and have no problem using their tactics”: Justin Carl Moose, 26, is a self-described “extremist, radical” and the “Christian counterpart of Osama bin Laden,” according to an affidavit filed by FBI agents. [...]

He calls himself a freedom fighter. And he said this... “If a mosque is built on ground zero, it will be removed, Oklahoma City style. Tim’s not the only man out there that knows how to do it.

Moose is self-attested member of “Army of God,” an “underground network of domestic terrorists who believe that the use of violence is appropriate and acceptable as a means to end abortion.” According to its manual, the group’s purpose is to “officially declare war on the entire child killing industry.” Believing that “Our Most Dread Sovereign Lord God requires” bloodshed, members “are forced to take arms against” abortion clinics in which “execution is rarely gentile [sic].”Arrested Tuesday, Moose will appear in federal court Monday. If convicted on all counts, he faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000. Despite his arrest, Moose has no intention of surrendering peacefully. In a post taunting the federal authorities monitoring him, he told “all the feds watching me: You can’t stop what is in motion. Even if you bring me in, my men will continue their mission. Furthermore, I will not go peacefully. Do you really want another Waco?”

yea maybe we do want a good old fashioned shoot out with these domestic terrorists. That's what they want so why not give it to 'em! I think President Obama better bring the troops home, we have a holy war right here in the great US of A that needs attending to. Soon we'll have to build a maximum security prison for our own home grown terrorists, how pitiful is that?!!

Thoughts on Burn a Koran Day

It has been awhile since someone has come along and embarrassed Christianity. I think the last time it was probably Pat Robertson. This week it is Terry Jones.

Whenever I hear about guy like this, I have to wonder about his background. I have a theory that I constantly looking for: when ministers do things like this they are most likely to be in leaders in independent churches and uneducated. I attempted to test this theory against Terry Jones, but I have been unable access dove world outreach's site. I looked up articles instead. Most of the articles I have read on Terry Jones mention his previous church in Germany and his hotel management experience. No mention of Colleges or seminaries. I already know his church is independent. While I could be wrong, I suspect that Terry Jones is a quack of a minister.

His church in Germany distanted themselves from him. Their falling out with him can be summed up in one sentence:
The fallout had much to do with Jones's dictatorial stance towards the church's beliefs and his desire for fame, according to current members.

Very telling isn't it? I don't suppose that a radical, authoritarian, and fringe minister could be doing all this for some attention and notoriety? Nah... that couldn't be it.

I am a little disappointed that the media describes him as Evangelical. I do not think Terry Jones and his church are part of Evangelicalism. This is because evangelicalism has denounced what his doing. No Evangelical institution I know would even consider doing what he is so stubborn in doing. It is probably not even appropriate to describe Terry Jones as the "fringe of Evangelicalism." He is off the spectrum completely. I do not speak for evangelicals, but I think many of them feel like I do: this church does not represent my religion. A thousand anathemas on him and his congregation.

Some might say that he is within his rights to do so. The American constitution guarantees his right of religious liberty. This is technically correct. Jones is within the letter of the law, yet he misses the point. The purpose of religious liberty in western democracies in general -and in the United States in particular- is to prevent religious conflict. In our political epoch -which Jones thinks he understands- neither the government nor a private citizen has threat of force or law in support of his religion. All religious groups are free to pursue their own notions of human good. The implied condition is that they do so without antagonizing other religions or sects. The spirit of religious liberty is peaceful coexistence, and this does not seem important to Terry Jones.

I hope, that after the 11th, everything that happens will be quickly forgotten. I hope the church disappears back into obscurity. I hope that serious, loud, letters of condemnation come from major evangelical organizations.

With that, I will close this blog.
